March

Jonathan and I have had a goal to do new things as well as eat at new places. It looked like the month of March was a great start for our goal!
You would be surprise how many little cool places there is in Orlando. Since we had family visit from Miami Erick & Darling and along with my cousin Diana and Nelson we decide to eat at Graffiti Junktion Burgers. It was located in Thorton Park which is a little town full of boutiques and great places to eat (I have always wanted to go). The place really lived up to its name. The whole restaurant was covered with graffiti, hence the name. There was an area to even play Wii. For an appetizer I decided to go for the fried zucchini, it was the first time I tasted them… deeeelicious!! Most of their burgers had eggs in them which Jonathan loved. The meat was huge too. Since I am not a meat fan I felt like the burgers were good but I like my burgers with more sauces and fillings like a Colombian burger. But overall the restaurant itself was good and super fun!

We also went to Boca Raton for a day. We visited the lovely Mizner Park. There was really nice architecture, a beautiful garden in the middle and nice boutiques on the sides. Jonathan and I enjoyed ourselves taking a nice stroll and looking at the unique boutiques. Later we went to the Boca Raton Town center for some shopping and it was actually full of amazing store that I wish I could afford! LOL. Even the food court had fancier foods. I eat a falafel sandwich at Moaz Vegetarian, it was so delicious. You can fill the wrap with any filling and sauce. I opted for the veggies and yogurt sauce…YUM. Once we arrived at Miami we went to another new restaurant for us, called Houston's or Hillstone? Its a mystery kinda? The restaurant I believe is called Houston's but when you see it on miracle mile it has a bright lighted up sign saying "Hillstone" LOL. Anyways, we had dinner with the Huici's. It was always so fun to catch up! I had the soup and salad combo. The soup of the day was Tortilla soup (which happens to be my favorite type of soup) and the caesar salad which both were so scrumptious. Jonathan being the meat lover he is, had the ribs!

In March we also went to Sun-n-Fun. Our friends the Trochez’s invited us to come along. It was my first time and Jonathan's second time going to an airshow. To be honest I really did not know what to expect or if even I would enjoy it, but I love doing new things! When we arrived there was all type of planes on the ground for us to take pictures with and even get inside some. There was fair food (food trucks) everywhere. (reminded me of my old Youth Fair days in Miami)From 1-5pm there was an airshow that took place. There was everything from historical planes that fought in wars to smaller planes that did tricks! Howeve, the thunderbirds stole the show! They did the best tricks, loudest sound and coolest in my opinion. Some planes were literally traveling faster than the speed of sound. We all had a blast! Jonathan was taking pictures and loving the whole airplane experience but as most people know my husband is obsessed with cars and he was able to find a race car in the middle of the airplane expo! That was his highlight! LOL
