Kathy & Kris Birthday

My sisters decided they wanted to go to Miami for the weekend to celebrate their birthdays. Kathy's birthday is August 5th and Kristin's birthday is August 7th.

Friday
On Friday we drove after work straight to Miami. Our first event was to go this nightclub Mia. I love dancing but I don't really like nightclubs. Kathy was turning 18 so she wanted to experience the night scene. She was super excited for this event and that's when I realize I am getting old! Jonathan and I were so not in the mood of going but we did for them. Nevertheless we had a blast. After we went out to eat and we decided to go to IHOP. Which is funny because when we were younger we would also go to Dennys after a dance. But IHOP is much better!LOL
We got home like 3:30 am, I couldn't believe it! I had not stayed out so late since I got married I think, ironically.

Saturday
My sister wanted to go to the beach. So we woke up early but it was impossible to leave. It was like a whole mission to get things ready, decided who was going who was staying, what food to pack, what bathing suit to wear, etc.  Finally we headed to the Miami beach.  When we got there we set up our beach space. My sisters really wanted like a photo shoot for their birthday. Jonathan and I purchased a Canon T3i and are always excited to use it so of course we were on board to do the "photo shoot".  We got some really nice shoots. We also took some family shoots in there too. Jonathan really takes most of the pictures I just kind of of directed him which pictures would like nice. I thought of this neat idea for the six of us to take and it came out beautiful!!!

 

After the picture taking, we decide to relax in the water. However because last week was shark week I could not relax! Every shadow, seaweed, rock was a shark!  I learned a lot about sharks in shark week but I also learn the dangerous they can be. Jonathan and I are sad its over but excited for next year! LOL Well even though there was no sharks Kris got attacked by jelly fish! hahaha Well not really but in her mind she did. So she came into the water after taking like 100 picture of herself and Kathy sees a orang fish?...nope it was a jellyfish! so all ran backwards but since Kris was closer to the shore and still a little far from us she ran the opposite way when she turned around she saw two more jelly fish around her! So she panicked ran and jumped on my Aunt's arm and demanded her to take her to the shore. My aunt not knowing what was happening just take her in her arms and walked toward the shore. LOL it was the funniest thing ever!
Beside the jellyfish incident the rest of the beach day was nice! I love the sand and salty water!

Later that day we decided to have a birthday celebration dinner at Casa Larios. Its a Cuban restaurant owned by Gloria Esteban.  The food was really good and the place was nice. It was my family, my aunt and our best friends whom are practically family, Bruce and Damaris. After the nice dinner we went to their home to watch a movie. Because of technically difficulties we weren't able to watch the movie so we watched SHARK WEEK's WHEN FISH ATTACK 2! I have a new respect for Marlins! Overall it was a fun day! Most important my sister were having fun. They enjoyed all the activities as well as the company!

Sunday
My mom called all our family to go to my Aunt's (where we were staying) to have arroz imperial for lunch and celebrate my sister birthday. Most of my family came which I have not seen for months, and we cut them a cake! Actually two cakes! It was so nice to have our family together and just enjoying their company. Jonathan was talking to my boy cousins Erick, Juan,and Tito. While I was chasing my little baby cousins! Its just so fun to be with family, especially when you have a big one!

In afternoon before we headed home we passed by Jonathan's Aunt Aileen and Uncle Teo's house. We met Volcom their new kitty. Super Cute! Aileen made us crepes with nutella, strawberries, and bananas. They were so yummy. I had fun talking to Aileen about how the Hoffmann men are so alike! Aileen understands my pain! j/k hahaha!  After eating the crepes we decided to play Apples to Apples! It was fun. This is always a fun game!  After a day full of family and food we headed home.
This weekend was filled with fun events! But let's just say Jonathan and I really did not want to go to work on MONDAY! We were super tired.

Being able to celebrate my sisters birthday was such a blessing. I feel very blessed to have such a great relationship with sisters. We are each others best friends! They know me better than I know myself. Our bond is eternal and for that I am extremely grateful! I am also a proud big sister. Both my sisters are  great examples to me, they are beautiful inside and out. They are going away for college to BYU-I. Its going to be hard to have them far but I am so happy for their new journey. I know that I can always count on them as well as they can count on me.  I love them very much and just make my life much better :)
