excited to get our bibs! |
For the 10k we went as Toy Story! Clearly the coolest Toy Story gang ever!!!
We had so much fun. The course was different from any others I have ran before. It ran throughout Disney Boardwalk and Epcot. It was such a fun race. They even had Elsa talking to us and making snow, bubbles! lol
Since it was a 10k I felt it much easier, however I did not try to PR on this race because the next day I had to run 13.1 miles. The race started a little rocky because we got lost going there and arrived late but we made it in time for the actually race. But since this is a Disney race, once I started to feel the magic it just became a great and fun race.
The next day was the Princess half marathon, I woke up anxious, I was a little sore from the 10k and had not trained properly for this race. But at the same time I was so excited to do it, I just couldn't wait.
Our costumes for this race were a sure hit! We were characters from the beloved movie Frozen.
My costume was very simple, I just needed to make sure I nailed the hat. Thankfully racers and even spectators recognized me as Olaf. I think there was someone who said Frosty the snowman lol. The race was fun like always. A ton of photo ops and sideline entertainment. We were able to take more photos this time around.
We crossed the finish line together! Which is my favorite part because I get to share these experience with such amazing friends.
We received two medals after the princess half marathon. One for finishing the half marathon and the other for completing the Glass Slipper Challenge.
After this weekend in total we received 3 medals. Not too shabby, eh! No matter how many races I do my favorite type of race bling will always be Disney bling!
