I have a new toy! For a while I wanted a personal electronic cutter so I did my research. The front runners where the cricut and the silhouette SD. Circut is more known because they sell it at craft stores but in the blogging world the silhouette SD is the most popular and most used. So before i spend money on a personal cutter i needed to know which one was better. After asking my fellow crafters, opinion polls, bloggers etc. The silhouette SD was the obvious choice for me!
So Silhouette SD can basically cut everything from the simple card-stock and vinyl to fabric and glass! It also connects to your computer so that means you can create your own designs on it's software or you tweak already made designs. Basically you can do anything that your imagination lets you. You are not limited to cartridges. There is no cartridges!!!! No cartridges! I think that is the best part! Not only do I save a ton of $$$, it gives me freedom to download or create any fonts or images. (They use a shop were you buy shapes and designs for $.99) There is no limit of how many images or fonts you can have! Can it get any better???? YES....you can save all your work on a SD memory card! I just felt like it was all around better cutter for me!
So my amazing husband bought for me for my birthday! A very early birthday present. When it was delivered I could not wait to use it so I did! Lol I made my first project!
^^^ This was an old cork board my husband had in my father-law’s garage and I knew it was a potential something! So I sprayed painted the frame (it was a yucky tan color before) and covered the corkboard with blue fabric! That gave me a new nice clean slate to work on!
I made it for my craft/office/guest room! So my multiple purpose room aka MP Room!! I love my silhouette!!! I am super excited for all my future projects with this baby! :D
Thats awesome! you make me want to buy it!
