Mother

Febraury 9th was my mother's birthday. This year I knew it was going to be more difficult for her. My sisters are in Rexburg, ID 2,000+ miles away. In our family birthdays are super special and we always spend it together. So this year for my mom's birthday I decide to celebrate her birthday with her church friends at Olive Garden. It was a big success. They all made it! We had such a good time. Laughs, stories, inside jokes and a little bit of a raucous. We all really enjoyed that night!

My sisters even sent my mother a little something from BYU-I. We skyped with them on the day of her birthday and we even cut the cake with them through skype LOL. Being away from them as been hard. However, my mother said she feels the spirit comforting her. She tells me all the time that she knows our Heavenly Father has helped her not get depressed or have any real anguish.

I love my mother so much. I am so grateful that she is a great example for me. She is a very faithful women and amazing mother. Her love for the gospel has always been admirable. Everytime our family has gone through a rough patch she has never lost faith.

I am so thankful for all the scarfices she made for our family, especially for my sisters and I. She always puts us first. Even though I am married and have my own life she still takes care of me and worries for me. She has even adopted Jonathan. She treats Jonathan like her son. When people ask how many children she has she always says 3 daughters and a son.

My mother is my Hero. (even though it sounds cliche) She is the best example of a mother. She has always been and still is a hardworker, dedicated to her family, and faithful to the gospel. Growing up she has always made me feel like I could reach any goal. She has made me always aspire to be better. She believes in me.

When I become a mother I want to follow my mother's example. I want to be there for my family. I want to demonstrate the importance of the gospel. I want to provide that unconditional love, that I feel my mother has for us.

I am so blessed for the mother my Heavenly Father has given me. Hopefully one day I can become a mother that my Heavenly Father is proud of. I love my Mami!

  1. Happy Birthday to your Mami! She looks very pretty and like she had a good time. She should call my mom if she ever needs to be strengthened in that Kathy and Kris are doing the right thing!
