All about June

(Its becoming harder to keep up with the blog...but I am still trying!)

I turned 24! I was excited about my birthday but at the same time sad. It was going to be my first year celebrating my birthday without my sisters :(Lucky I had my friends from Miami Valetina and Oscar come to cheer me up! For my birthday dinner we went to this really different/cute place the restaurant was named Cafe Tu Tu Tango. The food was super yummy and carribean-ish. The restaurant had art all over the walls (which you could actually buy), they had live artist painting new art, live music and performers and even a card reader. It was a really fun atmosphere!

Since it was my birthday the perfomers asked me to dance and Valentina joined me because I was sure not going to do it alone! lol

On Saturday we went Fort Desoto beach. It was two hours away from Orlando. We we got there we went straight to make some yummy burgers!

Afterwards we went to the beach. There was some type of storm in the gulf coast so the water was as nice as the beach reputation and I guess that also brought all the little water creatures closer. There was hermet crabs, live shells,and even crabs. I was scared but everyone else had a blast!!! lol

Young Women Camp 2012

In the end of June was also YW camp. This year the theme was "Oh the places you will go"

Every ward had a book from Dr. Seuss. Our ward choose How the Grinch stole Christmas. My dad helped with the flag!

I was able to attend two days of the camp. There was good and bad. We slept in air conditioned cabins but the second you walk outside it was extremely hot! Overwhelming I must say.  Then there was the usual camp experience...mosquitos, frogs in the bathroom, pranks, and girl drama LOL. But all in all it was nice young women camp. I love my yw girls. They such sweet spirit and amazing girls. On the last night we released sky lanterns because as LDS members we are the light of the world.
